Patch designing on Korg ROMplers vs Yamaha

I'm considering a Korg M3 over Motif XS and Fantom G, as it appears to be a better overall solution for me.
However; Korg are still using the ol' 2 element voice architecture, whereas the Motif XS can have up to 8 (4 on the Fantom..?).

I've previously owned both a Yamaha cs6x and a Motif ES, and patch construction was quite intuitive (when using the software editor, that is).
Is there any similar way on the M3 to build bigger voices by combining several patches? I mean, voices can be layered, but can I edit several simultanously, in effect mimicking the Yamaha design?

In Korg speak, you are talking about combis which let you split/layer up to 16 individual voices (so up to 32 elements). No, you can't open up the multiple voices and edit them simultaneously.

Ok, thanks for the info, meatballfulton :)
It seems I may reconsider then.
