i want a synth or synth module that sounds the way pads and pads/strings
sound in George Michael "OLDER" album era (around 1996)
for example like these sounds:
song fastlove
song OLDER
song A MOMENT WITH YOU
song YOU KNOW THAT I WANT TO especially from 1:25
what could sound this way?
maybe roland jv 1080 ?

The pad sounds in "Older" are just orchestral strings - whether they're sampled or not, I'm not going to guess. Ditto for Fast Love (although they might be EQd down a bit to blend in the background better). "You Know That I want To" has something Ice Rain-ish going on in the background (which is a warm polysynth pad sound with chorus layered with looped, sampled clicks that descend in pitch) if I'm not being fooled by low Youtube quality.
But yeah, a JV can do this - not so much because it's a JV, but rather because it's a sample-based machine containing those particular waveforms . I mean, an older JV or JD unit should be able to do this too, as well as most other sample-based boxes of that time.
