Looking for a particular monosynth sound

Post by fastfwdd » Sat Jun 27, 2009 7:01 am

I'm looking for a monosynth with these type of sound characteristics. I found that the sound in the beginning of this video contains the sort of sound I'm looking for. Very punchy and dense. Could anybody provide any insight or suggestions on what type of monosynth I should maybe look at? Modding that particular synth is beyond my scope. Thanks!

He's playing a Gakken. They cost like $35 plus shipping from Japan on ebay. It looks like he has modified it to to accept CV control.

Its bigger and more costly, but check out the Future Retro Revolution. You can nail all sorts of similar grooves with that.
