3 SCI ProOnes for around $1500 each
Appearantly so. If you look at completed listings, a working ProOne sold for $1400 after shipping and a non-working/for parts ProOne sold for $800.
Yes, the prices keep going up. Buy vintage synths NOW.

Well buy them now if you want to pay a lot... Or give it a month (or 3) and I'm sure they'll be back to the sub-$1000 range. People can ask what they want for anything on ebay, but until it sells for that much (which none of those 3 have yet), it's not worth that much. Even though the overall trend is for prices going up, Pro-1s, sh-101s and similar common synths are so flavor of the month - they go "in" and "out" all the time - that speculating on prices based on recent (i.e. one) ebay sales is fairly futile.

I was just thinking, all these posts really necessary? Sellers w/ high price AND 'make offer' are obviously screening deadbeat bidders.

not all the posts in this thread are examples of ridiculous prices, but enough are that it's amusing, i'd say.

But in the meantime, I've got a great example of j-wire Pro-1 which has been totally re-bushed and lubed up that I'll let go for $1500

Wha? I thumbed my search and this popped up. Can you imagine? Says location in Nashville...probably Billy Ray Cyrus's or some other cuntree-sanger hack with too much money.
