I'm looking at getting a nord lead 3 and i've heard that unlike the previous nords it has aftertouch control. Can somebody that owns one please tell me whether the touch sensitivity can be turned off? I find it's good for natural piano, bell type sounds but if you want with typical electronic rhythm its a pain in the arse.
Thanks.

I don't own a Nord Lead 3 but am interested in one and hence this answer too. It looks like form the manual (page 29)...
http://www.clavia.se/downloads/manuals/ ... eng%29.pdf
... that aftertouch is used on a per-program basis as one of the available controllers for what are called 'morph groups' that can modulate program parameters. In other words - aftertouch can be assigned up to 26 parameters per program to modulate (pretty cool!).
So if you look to the left of the control panel you see a separate button for turning on and off each morph controller for a given program - the buttons are labeled 'velocity', 'keyboard', 'aftertouch' and so on. So it looks as if its as easy to press the 'aftertouch' morph button and you've switched off the aftertouch. Press it again and it's back on. If so that's a very nice and straight forwad yet powerful feature (and on a per-program basis which is very nice).
Kevin.
