I'm very interested in these, they seem like a cheap alternative to the now overpriced dod dfx94's. Anybody know who the h**l makes them? Google and ebay both turn up nothing, though I know I've stumbled across them in the past on the later. Basically its a crude loop sampler that allows manipulation of the samples pitch via a knob. Aside from this anybody know of any delay/sampler pedals that allow one to adjust the pitch of the recorded sample aside from the dod dfx and digitech pds series? Not interested in rack units that can do the same.

Boss DSD-2, though it only gives about .8 of a second. It's fun to hook up to the trigger out of a DR-110 though.

I haven't seen the loop pedals you mentionedon ebay, got a pic?

Are you talking about the dod dfx series and digitech pds series? You can find fairly detailed reviews of them at noiseguide. I know about the DSD-2, due to autechre supposedly used it early on, but its fetching insane prices. Theres some schmuck on ebay trying to sell one thats been beat to h**l for about 90 dollars.

I meant a pic of these DIY devices you were talking about.
DSD-2's are going for a lot of money? that's weird, I've seen them going for the same/less than a DD-3, but i haven't really kept track lately.

No thats the thing, I have no idea what their actually called, nor do I have any pictures of them. Not really much to see, it was basically a button or toggle switch, a knob for pitch, and the usual audio in and out. As I mentioned previously some one is trying to sell a beat to h**l dsd-2 for 80 plus shipping on ebay, but I payed that much for my in drastically better condition and feature ladened boss dd-6. I've watched them in the past and the usual asking price is over a hundred dollars.

there are a few designs around the PT2399 chip that are pretty simple, but I guess it's more suited for a delay pedal than a looping pedal.

Walmart sells these 10$ toys that you'd add a case, quarter inch jacks and maybe an audio i/o buffer to.

You dont mean a Feedback looper?




These don't sample, they just create a feedback loop, to get weird sounds. You need other pedals to use with it though.

Positive. I've owned an audible disease rupture, and for a while there I tried to get into pedal noise, but realized I didn't have the time or money to pursue both that venture and synths. Anyway I just got a yamaha su10 for 66 bucks out the door, so I guess this whole looping pedal venture is pretty much pointless. Considering how much the pedals sell for compared to old hardware samplers.
