Racks
So I need a 10U rack to house various gear of mine... I'm worried about durability
I've decided its between these two:
http://www.analoguehaven.com/skb/roto10/
http://www.analoguehaven.com/roadready/10ued/
something "portable" (i.e. easily movable from one place to another/not something that has to be dismantled) is what I need
anybody have experience with either of these?
or is there another rack you'd recommend checking out?
Thanks guys!

No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

Re: Racks
I've got a few of the 8 space SKB roto racks. I've only used them in the studio (and moving back annd forth) and am very pleased with their contruction. I hear they're not as strong as the original SKB cases, but I think the roto racks should do well in gigging situations.
The last Roto rack I bought was last summer at a GC sale for $99 (8 space).

I think the SKB case should be fine if you're just taking it to gigs every once in a while. If you move it around a lot you might consider one with shock mounts, though they typically run for twice the price because it's essentially a rack within a rack.

cant go wrong with SKB

Re: Racks
The SKB is made of plastic, the RR is made of wood.
I've used plastic racks before, they twist a bit and just don't last anywhere near as long as wooden ones. Go with the wood, they look a lot better too IMO.
edit: duh

Re: Racks
I'm thinking he meant the plastic ones twist and don't last as long as wood, so go with wood.
...speaking at length about something is no guarantee that understanding is advanced.
