The MEK supports poly, so I would assume the Mopho does the same. If I plug the MEK to a poly VA, it works fine.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that monophonic midi keyboards do exist, like the Doepfer's MKE system. http://www.doepfer.de/MKE.htm

Id assume so too but without having tried it or read it explicitly in the manual I wouldn't confirm it in my message.

Yes, but that doesn't mean every MIDI keyboard sends >1 note at a time over MIDI.
