Midi keyboard for a Dark Energy?

Post by basic303 » Sat May 28, 2011 7:24 pm

I'm in the market for a small affordable midi controller for my Doepfer Dark Energy, I'm currently debating between the Akai LPK25 or Alesis Q25. What do you guys think?

The LPK is the wrong kind of midi out of the two aforementioned controllers. It is usb out only. You need one with a traditional style midi out such as the Q25, but for a few bucks more I would spring for the Q49.

Well, the DE does have USB controll. But I think I'm gonna go with the Alesis any way. Although the Akai has an amazing arpeggiator.

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Didn't realize you can't control directly via USB. Oh well, guess it's the Alesis for me, The Doepfer's got a built in arpeggiator anyway. Thanks for the help
