Roland SPD-S or similar to add sampling to drum rig

Post by blavatsky » Tue Jul 19, 2011 4:22 pm

Hi - looking at a Roland SPD-S or similar to add some samping to a drum rig, and/or use it to build tracks in a regular electronic setup.

Any experience with these? I'm used to roland/korg samplers, this thing looks pretty cool to add....main concerns are quality (accurate triggering/build quality) and flexibility (effects/sampling mangling?)

Other better options?

Thanks
