Can you really sync these two, or is the 220 manual fibbing?
I already have a 110, and I'm about to pick up a 220A. I can't find any online examples of people actually syncing these two...or maybe it's that the sound of those two machines just really doesn't fit together?
I think the 220 is uninspiring to some, but I even like a number of the preset rhythms, and $50 may not be the steal of the century, but it's low enough that to me it doesn't matter.
Anyone have examples of triggering the 220 with the 110?

I have a DR-110 & 220e (like a 220a but w/ Simmons-style electronic kit) and the two sync. It can be done with the 220e's trigger in. It's neat, but as you guessed the sounds aren't the best mix. I'll try make a video or soundfile for you.
220a would make a good clap machine for a TR-606. The 220e only has some weird "slap" sound.

Thanks--good to know. I thought I would like the E better than the A, but from the demos I've heard, I think the A is quite nice, and it has that just-shy-of-cheese feel that can be good for minimal 80s style pop. It's not like the A samples are all that realistic...kpliver wrote:I have a DR-110 & 220e (like a 220a but w/ Simmons-style electronic kit) and the two sync. Do regular stereo mini jacks work, or do I need to use something more specialized?

Yeah, I just use a 1/8 stereo cable from RadioShack and it works fine.

Yeah...you could totally jam to that. I've already got plenty of patch cables that would work. Nice pattern you got worked out there.kpliver wrote:Yeah, I just use a 1/8 stereo cable from RadioShack and it works fine.
Can't wait to jam with mine...
