Right now I am converting USB to MIDI using my Axiom 25, and it is also acting as my tranport/clip launching controls for Ableton, using the <<, >>, Stop, Play, etc.
Soon I will be getting a MS-20 Mini and I've been thinking about the best way to integrate that into my rig. If the freakin MS-20 had MIDI OUT, it could totally replace the USB to MIDI conversion the Axiom is doing, but alas, it will have to be USB'ed to ableton for MIDI in/out.
Since I will be able to use the MS-20 as a controller for writing parts into Ableton, I will then only need the transport controls and the USB to MIDI OUT.
My question is, does anyone know of a device with a few simple transport controls to launch clips, USB MIDI, and MIDI Out. Preferably something small and lo-profile.
A good bit of rambling here, but hopefully its clear enough...
