I want to buy Moog Little Phatty Stage II but can anyone explain the differences between

The CV out mod is handy if you plan on expanding the Phatty's functionality with MoogerFoogers, or other CV gear. Otherwise, a Little Phatty Stage 2 is a great little synth, with lots of character, and pure old school analog sound.

The Tribute would be a Little Phatty TE, not a Little Phatty Stage II TE as the OP wrote.

The LP Stage II TE is the Thomann Edition – just a normal Stage II with a different colour scheme (rear panel is red, as is the display, pitch-/mod-wheel and black sidecovers).

I guess as they claim to be the largest music retailer in Europe they've got a bit of clout with manufacturers to have stuff done especially for them.

Ah, I didn't know about the Thomann Edition. There's an Australian version like that too.
Mine has the red back AND CV outs. So many versions...
