akai mpd-24

i was thinking of switching from an emu x 25 to an akai mpd-24. would i be able to use the pads to play a pad or a keyboard from reason?

Yeah the pads output midi note data with velocity and aftertouch, so you can use it instead of a keyboard easily. You can set it up to have any pad send as any key too.
