Amatuer seeking synth/drum sync advice.

Hi! I've been lurking around for awhile, since I like vintage synths. (my synths are humble, Juno 60, Moog Prodigy, and 2 moogerfoogers)

I started on guitar and got interested in synths, and now I'm interested in recording more electronic music, but I've run into something I can't figure out. I want to sync my juno's arpeggiator speed to some kind of software drum machine, so they'll be in time. Is this possible? I have a midi-dcb interface, so I can send midi info to the juno, but I don't have a physical drum machine. Any suggestions? I've been making drum tracks with (humbly--) Hammerhead. Are there any freeware solutions that could let me sync the arp to drums and record? Anyone know?

I don't think the Juno's arpeggiator can sync with MIDI using the DCB interface. The most economical solution is to purchase an inexpensive drum machine with both MIDI and a trigger out such as a Roland TR-707 or 505. Simply program a drum pattern on the machine with the trigger instrument (usually a rim shot) with the desired rhythm (usually 8th or 6th notes) and run a cable from the trigger out to the Juno's arp in.

Good luck!
