native instruments fm7

Post by holowok » Sat Jun 14, 2008 12:49 pm

is there anyway of purchasing this anymore? fm8 is cool and all, but ive no use for the arpeggiator or the extra effects (quite shitty imo & i certainly dont want any amp sims/overdrive on my fm sounds)...mostly i prefer the aesthetics of fm7 - i guess thats shallow but since i have to stare at it id like to enjoy the way it looks.
anyway is there any way of obtaining a copy (legitimately) anymore? im on a mac.

That's really the only way I could see one scooping it up legitimately.

Yeah, second hand is probably the way to go. I don't think FM7 works on intel macs, though...

I wouldn't just say that those effects (amp sim, overdrive etc.) of FM8 are that useless. Amp sim can often just add the finishing touch to any sound, doesn't have to be just related to guitars or anything.

In general, I hated FM7 as much as I love FM8, can you believe it..? :P

That's a point worth considering..... I picked up Absynth 3 maybe a year ago prior to upgrading to 4 and was unable to use it as vst or au. It did work stand lone however. Might be the case with FM7 also.
