Ableton + Native Instruments (problem.. )

Hello,

I've got an anoying problem with Ableton Live 7 and Native Instruments Komplete 5.
Some glitches and "sound disappearances" happen while I'm playing instruments from the midi keyboard. It looks like this- suddenly CPU Load Metter is beginning to increse till 50-60% , the sound is disappearing for a moment, then everything is fine again.. It tooks about 0,5 second. And it's not constantly - sometimes i can play for 10 minutes with no glitches at all..

I was trying to play with latency, turn off wi-fi adaptor, - no changes, it remains..
And there's no such a problem with original Ableton instruments..

the gear I use-
Macbook with 1GB ram, Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1 sound card...

-my ideas how to fix it:

Get more RAM (2GB or 4GB)
Get Ableton update (to 8 Suite )
Get new Macbook Pro

But still not sure if this helps, I believe there's another better solution...
So, I'm asking you for some help. I need to fix it to play live on stage next week, so it's quite important for me..

Thanks in advance for you time and ideas!

More RAM will certainly help. Also try freezing all the tracks except the one you're playing live.

I can run NI Absynth, Kontakt or Massive in Live 7 on my old WinXP laptop (2GB of RAM though) with no glitching and CPU loads typically well under 50%.

Yeah start with more RAM, 1GB isn't really enough for Live. You might need to increase your buffer size as well but the RAM is probably the cause of your problems. Meatball's suggestion of freezing tracks you aren't working on right at the moment is a good one, my bandmate manages to still use a 1.25GHz G4 powerbook with live by much use of the freeze function.
