Hej All,
check this out:
Nice concept for controlling a multitude of different plugins without the restrictions of a fixed mapping on a midi controller. seems to be really useful for those frequent moments when one has to fall back to using the mouse if a software parameter is not mapped to any midi-control.
here's a link to the related conference publication:

would be nice to try this.. what do you think?
cheers

Hahahaha that's those things..
I left a comment on their youtube video that really says it all...
"Scroll Wheel"
theyve come up with this ridiculous control on a mouse that you need to change your hand position everytime you wanna turn it.. meanwhile there is already an invention called a Scroll Wheel that does exactly what they're doing, better... and to add to that - many plugins already support using the scrollwheel when you mouse over a knob to set the value.

I sure am glad "some people" invented MIDI to help us make better use of the softsynths on our laptops.
Looks like a fun toy, but ultimately unwieldy and impractical as a means of control. Do they reckon you'll have a desk (or maybe and air-hockey table) full of these things?
