Right, just looking for opinions here - I got a Launchpad basically because it was cheap, but I don't use Live and from trying the demo a few times I wont be intending to.
So here's the question, is there any point having a Launchpad if you only use Logic or Pro Tools? I know it can be used to trigger drum sounds and playback samples but I've got pads on my MicroKontrol for that, so what do you guys reckon?
ie. what else can it do that I may not know of?
Novation Launchpad - any point if you don't use Live?

It can control Numerology(step sequencer) on a Mac
Google around and you'll find some other applications that have been developed for the Launchpad including monome emulation.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Yeah thanks guys, pretty much as I thought.
So I've decided to sell it and get a Presonus Faderport instead - much more useful for my needs
