How to manage audio files on iPad?

I'm wondering if there is some kind of app that functions as a central for audio files on the iPad?
File management is a catastrophe on the iPad, and it seems that the different apps I have installed all have their different ways of exporting/importing audio files.
Is there an app that is able to handle files intelligently? It would be awesome to have a "central" available for the various apps
