which is a bit like saying "Everything Apple is too expensive. I'm considering switching to Linux/Android." ...which is alright for some, but nothing I'd consider doing. it's cliche and there are exceptions but often one gets what they pay for and personally I feel that Ableton (and Apple) more than justify the pricing.vladimotor wrote:Everything Ableton is too expensive. I agree, you get what you pay for. I have the original push and that thing is built like a tank and makes every other synth I own feel pretty cheap. The only think I didn't like that much is how hard the pads are. If the new one is way better I must have it. I'd way rather pay a little more and get something better than the same old cheap as can be box of plastic and wiggly knobs._seph wrote:which is a bit like saying "Everything Apple is too expensive. anyway, this is a bit of a late response but I cannot over-stress how incredible Push 2 is. I've had the original Push since it first shipped and really liked it, often saying that if I needed to part with my studio as long as I still had Push and my MacBook I'd likely be fine (and possibly more productive). aside from the 2's display, the biggest improvement is the unit itself. the pads are so much nicer and while Push was already incredibly solid, everything about this new model feels significantly better. I'm also pleased that Ableton have brought Push's production in-house and away from Akai(InMusic)
yes, it is pricier but I did their trade-in program which knocked $300 or so off the bill and sent my old Push to a good cause. I really can't give it a higher recommendation.
