Maybe it hasn't been mentioned yet because he moved, but Steve at what was Electronic Musicians Services in Chicago, is now based at A Sound Education in Brookfield. He's worked on multiple "big" synths for me and is the only one I would trust to do that kind of work in the Chicagoland area. Reasonably rates and pretty fast turnaround.

+1 for John of Eagle Audio in Atlanta. Pro work @ low prices and a great dude to boot.

I know we discussed this place, but I recently dealt with Deltronics in a 9-1-1 emergency. I left my Tempest power supply out of town (2 1/2 hours away) last weekend, and the guys @ Deltronics totally hooked me up after hours. I had my wife send me a pic of the DSi power supply, then sent it to the guys @ Deltronics. They found some old a*s giant Yamaha supply in their pile of gear/c**p/parts, tested it, wrapped it in a bag, stuffed in behind a fence under a plant and left it for me to grab after hours...free of charge. I've never bought a thing from them, and they didn't know me from Adam, good peoples for sure.

I'm looking for a qualified tech in Montreal who can install the Kenton Socket Kit on my new old Korg 770. A big plug for Main Drag Music in Brooklyn NY.

I sold a synth to a member near there and it arrived with problems. Contacted them and they agreed to let him bring it to them for service. Customer had it back working 100% in two days. Thanks guys !!

He's a good engineer also. Didn't list me but I'm usually too busy anyway. Hehe. And nobody has synths in montana hardly. Not very local to most people.
