I just bought an SP-202 off of eBay today, to use in conjunction with FL Studio. I don't want/need to use the 202 as a stand alone piece of equipment. What I'm looking to do is get the characteristics and specific sound that the SP-202 gives to samples. I'd like to use FL/Edison for sampling/chopping/looping, have it filter through the SP, and then back into the DAW.
My question is, what do I need in order to do this? Can I connect it directly to my PC, as I'd really rather not spend more money at this time on an audio interface?

No, you need an audio interface. It has analog audio ins and outs and a MIDI out a MIDI in. It predates the development of gear with onboard interfaces.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
