yamaha a5000 -> hooking it up to my computer

like new samplers use usb to attach to computers. can i use the external scsi port to attach to my computer so i can drag and drop files onto the a5000
is it possible? if so what hardware and software do i need to do it

you might need the TWE software and the compatible SCSI interface for the PC.

actually, you need to find something called "disky" which will let you read yamaha formated hard drives via scsi. TWE will allow you to work on samples and upload them but so will any wave editor (wavelab/recycle/soundforge) that supports SDMI sample transfers

man, just the exact one I want. How much did you pay for yours? Ive been wanting an A5000 or 4000 for a while now, and I like how extensive the effects are on that unit

Whats the going rate for them?

cheap, maybe 200 something...
