Emax SE Question

Post by mis psiquicios y yo » Wed Aug 27, 2008 7:03 am

I have an Emax rack, and i really dig it. Now, i've read the description of the SE model, but I'm not sure I got it right. The synthesizer section is really a synthesizer besides the normal sampler function of the Emax I, so no time limitations or need to loop sounds to obtain sustain? and when you switch the thing on there are sounds charged on the inernal memory, so no really need to load a disk? the internal memory is ram or rom?

In electronic music, sequencers are as important as synths.

From as best as I recall (i never used the fourier s**t too much) you have to save to disk and you can loop the sound...

The SE functions of the Emax SE series creates a sample (just like if you would sample it from the input jack) using different methods.

Samples created with the SE functions behave just like any other sample.

The internal memory of all emax models is ram; the operating system and all preset information is saved and retrieved from disk. The synthesizer function allows for creating samples and provides further methods for manipulating them, but should not be seen as a time saving measure since it takes long stretches of time to run the algorithms involved.

"Interpolating takes 76 minutes. Okay?"

76 minutes later - "Damn, another FM bell"
