Help (s1100 - a3000 - MPC?)

Ok, I have an Akai s1100 and a Yamaha a3000 (and a Boss DD-6 = Hold Function)
I just don't get the damn Akai so it's in the storage room, I'm trying to find my way through the Yammie, but they're both just so unnecessarily complicated in a way.. Plus the Yammie's got too many FX and stuff that you kinda forget yourself in all of that..

I love the Hold function on my DD-6 and I just want that = sample loops, save them and THAT'S IT!
So what do I do? Buy an MPC again? Or take a crash-course in using either of these samplers and shut up?

ps. I HATE ZIP + SCSI.

Hate to say I could've told you so ;).

may be more in the way of sampling that you want.

yeah, it's more like it..
But as soon as I saw that = Monome!
Maybe I should just get a Monome, I edit most of my samples on the computer anyways (except for my "live" samples, mostly my Rhodes + FX -which are most of the time better than my other samples = hardware again?)

Hmmm... =P~

You know a monome doesn't do anything by itself and to get anything neat out of it you pretty much have to build some Max/MSP thingy?

You're right (I plead temporary insanity / GAS), but those Max/MSP programs the Monome community has built are pretty awesome and right up my alley (the whole look of them and how their laid out)

There's no way to use those apps with another controller (my MD?)?
