Hi Don - the bad news is that the company that made this PSU - Power One - don't want to support this PSU anymore. The good news is that there is nothing special about it. You need to find a switched mode PSU that produces 5, 12, +15 and -15 volts DC. It wouldn't be a problem for me to fit such a thing but I'm not sure how technically minded you are. The only detail I don't have is how much power this thing produces. You should be able to determine the ball park figure from the serial number plate which should state mains voltage and power rating in Watts. My guess is that is somewhere around 200 Watts. I seem to remember that the PSU in the EMAX II produces the same rails but I doubt it can produce enough power.

The other alternative is to get your unit repaired - do you know any decent TV repair engineers in your area? Switch mode PSUs should not be alien to them these days.

PS Are you the guy with the EII for sale? - Lovely piece of kit... I'm a Simple Minds fan - saw them in concert at the NEC about 4 years ago.

Hello matey,

Yes I am the guy with the Ell+HD for sale, she's in lovely shape, but still no takers...good price, must just be the current financial climate!

I'll have a look at the back panel of the Elll over the weekend re watts etc.
Can i get back to you with that? I'm hopeless with these things

My Keyboard tech is a bit miffed, but he did say he could possibly build one from scratch?!?!?
Bought the thing 5 years ago & never had the enjoyment out it yet!

Cheers
