Another issue with the SP-404

Post by Blackie1 » Wed Jan 21, 2009 4:21 pm

When I loop something that I sampled, sometimes I get a click in between the end and the beginning. Any way to stop this?

trim the sample, perhaps you started recording too early or finished too late and have somethinng extra at the beginning or end of the loop
mostly enjoying adventures in sound :)

Change the loop-point. The thing is that it clicks if the loop-points aren't zero-crossings. So some finetuning of the start and end point of the loop should do the trick.

Are you serious?

You need to READ some literature about sampling and your SP404 manual. Popping in a loop is completely normal, it simply means you need to work on your sample looping skills, or simply download a Wav editor and/or crossfade.

There are no instant answers, and it is really in poor form to come to a forum and ask questions like this when there is f**k of information out there already on the subject.
