I recently picked up an esi-2000. I also own one of those old-school Phatboy controllers. Does anyone know it I can use the Phatboy as a parameter controller for the esi-2000?
My thought / want / desire is to midi the esi-2000 up to my Nord (as a controller) and be able to tweak Q and Res (on the esi) or whatever with the Phatboy.
Thoughts?

The phatboy transmits midi CC data. If the filter and resonance can be controlled by CCs, you can control them with the phatboy.

Hook it up and try it... you can set 4 MIDI ccs as mod sources on the ESI, if I remember rightly. You have to set that up for each preset though, it's not global.
