The pretty sampler pictures thread

Post by D-Collector » Wed Dec 15, 2010 4:48 pm

I thought we could have a thread with pretty p**n pics of samplers/drum machines and such. If you find some droolworthy images, please do post. I'll start off with this SP-12 from The Grublet, and a beautiful MPC60 courtesy of 64hz, both at MPCforums.

Smooth pics vinyl_junkie! Keep 'em coming.

Here is my own MPC2000. Really wish I could try some wooden sides like the MPC60 above, but then I would have to change the front plastic too. I wonder if it is possible. But I love it as it is.

I know we're in danger of turning this into an MPC thread, but they are samplers after all. Here is another of my favourites from the MPC forums, Mr Pauli's stealth XL.

Even though it's not out yet, it still is a sexy box. Though, wish it were a bit more like the other Elektrons. :)
TAKE THIS ALL YOU MPCs!

This thread will end with a Synclavier 9600.

That is cool, it remind me of those crazy computer labs in old movies. What do the massive towers do?

Wasn't Depeche Mode really into that same set-up? I recall reading something about that, though it may have been another band...

Ya they used the Sync 2 owned by Daniel Miller. I don't think he went for the 9600. They seem to have preferred the EII for the bulk of their sampling, because the Sync was monophonic. Seems it was mainly used as a synth and sequencer. Good sound on the Sync, Dan Lavry did the converters.
