i have a P2000 with no sample library and i have been offered a swap with an Emax2 with 25 floppies and Zip Drive..is this a fair swap or is one worth more than the other? i can't help but feel the P2000 will gain more value in time with it having analog filters etc but i dont know.
many thanks in advance

They are both roughly equivelant in value so your question should be "which will be more useful" rather than "which one will appreciate more in value"? Unless you're planning to just put it in a closet... which I wouldn't do, as analog filters tend to rust with disuse
Do you even post on vse bro?

yeah that is a very good point, the emax defo seems more useful it is just that i dont want to get rid of something that could potentially one day be valuable

Re: SCI Prophet 2000 and Emax2
I have both and love em both for their sounds and capabilities. However, Im contemplating selling off the p2002 because I never completely got comfortable with its architecture. Its system for setting up programs etc are kinda complex and require a lot of patience and re-reading of manual, etc. It often gets bypassed for the s900 or emax's. I also have a dpx1 to play my prophet disks...
the emax 2 however, i found more intuitive and was able to start making usable samples pretty quickly, particualrly useful is that one sample can be transposed the whole keyboard! It has its own quirks, but usable, scsi (for zip disks), emxp support, online library...
