Hi, just got a new sp 404sx and am still in the learning process but so far so good. I do have one problem though:
When I've finished recording a sample, can I still have that sample running while I add on top of it with other sounds? Like w/the KP3 where you can build layers live.
See, whats been happening is I'll create a sample with my keyboard and then I can play the sample on the SP 404sx but if I wanna record something else as the sample is playing the sample will stop playing.
Thanks.

Sounds like you want a looper, not a sampler.

Well, I do have a KP3 and that works well for looping. I just didn't know if I was missing something here on the sp 404sx

the roland sp555 has a loop capture mode that sounds like you are describing, but don't think the 404sx handles that.
