Re: Buying My first sampler
Probably not, especially since the ESX samples at 44.1kHz rate.m83lover wrote:Im buying the electribe esx , but (im no sound guru) im concerned about the 32khz rate, has anyone who has used this considered this a problem ?

Musiciansfriend.com and guitarcernter.com say the ESX1 Electribe is 32khz . Only Korg website says its 44

Well, I would assume since Korg designed, engineered, manufactured, tested, and retailed it, they would probably be the foremost authorities on the sampling specifications.
If that still won't do, I can confirm that my ESX does indeed sample at 44.1.

Korg Electribe ESX-1 With SD Storage Features:
32kHz sampling frequency
Sampling time (max): 285 (mono)/142.5 (stereo) seconds, to internal memory
Number of samples: 100 (mono) +
and bla bla bla...
he's right! I already want one of those with lo fi "warm" sound

He's right in that those ads are incorrect.

anyway, now that I see the add, it would be cool that the ESX1 could sample on 32Hz too. Even the Roland Sp808ex, wich uses Zip drives, gives you both options at the moment of formatting the disk
