E-MU E64 manual

Post by pinky_blue » Sat Nov 22, 2014 1:28 pm

Hi everyone,

I just picked up an E-Mu E64 expanded to 40mb, which is in good condition and seems to be functioning.

I was wondering if anyone had a PDF copy of the manual. I've had a look online and can't find any free links. Someone wants 45 euros for a PDF of the manual which is almost as much as I paid for the sampler!

Cheers.

Thanks but that link doesn't seem to work for me. I keep getting a connection timeout. I can't seem to find any other links to the manual on their website.

Go into support. There is a little block of text in the lower right that mentions legacy hardware. select samplers. Select E64. Voila, manual.

Hi. I tried this, it takes me through to this page:

http://support.creative.com/Products/Pr ... goryID:237

And I get the following message:

The product you have selected has been classified as 'End of Service Life'.
Support for such products is limited to online materials, such as Knowledgebase Solutions, drivers, application updates and product documentations available on the Creative Customer Support website.
Customers are also welcome to participate in our discussion forums to obtain further information.

I can't find the manual on there though and I can't access the forum. Perhaps I'm not seeing the same screens as you because I'm in the UK?

Thanks

Maybe. And you need to go in through emu.com not creative.com... and click 'non-PC Hardware" at the bottom right.

Still can't get access to this manual. Tried going in through the E-Mu site, tried changing my location to the US and it still doesn't work. Very frustrating.

Would anyone be willing to email this to me?

Thanks

maybe you need the eos manual

History and File Format
With the advent of the modern Emulator 4 sampler series (the E4, E64, E6400, others), E-mu created a monster OS called EOS (Emulator Operating System). They completely redid the file format, which was messy after the ESi tweaking, although the disk format and the basic architecture remained the same. EOS took advantage of the large screen display they started manufacturing. Any EOS sampler is a joy to work with, as the large screen facilitates operations extremely well.
