LOGAN STRING SYNTHESIZER

Post by Mocambo » Sun Oct 15, 2006 12:13 pm

I was wondering if anyone owns this rarely seen Logan String Melody Synthesizer. Mine has a problem: all f# notes distort, so there probably is something wrtong with a "mother oscillator" for that note. Does anyone have schematics or an idea how to fix it?
Many thanks!

Hi!

I unfortunately don't own the service manual but my guess is that the calibration trimpot need attention. It could also be a bad resistor (has changed value) or even a diode that need to be replaced.

I'd try the trimpot first. If you've got access to a frequency counter or even a guitar tuner, it's possible to tune your synth without too much hassle. It's possible that one of the trimpot need to be replaced too.
