ROLAND JV-1080 USERS: please help!

Post by nerdofsouthfield » Mon Oct 30, 2006 7:05 pm

I am having trouble getting the MIDI out to work correctly. Everything else seems to be working fine. I just purchased this piece second hand and it seems to be in great condition, it just set in a studio for yrs. Is there some setting that I have to access in order to get the MIDI out responding? And in the case that the midi out needs repair, where exactly can I find someone able to do that?

any help would be much appreciated!

What are you using the Midi-Out to do? Have you attempted to do a sysex dump from it? Do you have a librarian/editor that can send a sysex dump command to the unit? I haven't used my 1080's midi out for any other purpose than this since I've had it.
