Hey guys first post here! unable to elicit a response from Moog and not getting any answers on the forum either. I have just bought a Sub 37 and whilst I love this fat beast, I would love it even more if I could have it play MIDI notes that I have drawn. I am operating a Mac and have tried using both Ableton and Logic Pro X but am not having any luck. The editor plugin that I have downloaded is able to to adjust parameters on the hardware and this is reflected audibly BUT notes drawn on my DAW are not played, not can I play it at all using my computer keyboard. For the sake of experiment, I was able to play the Sub using an external keyboard also connected to my computer. PLEASE help! This is driving my insane! If it makes any difference I am connecting to the Moog via usb.
Please feel free to ask me for more details

Re: MOOG SUB 37 MIDI ISSUES
Hi,
before pulling hair out I would just start from the beginning.
To control the Sub 37 from an external MIDI controller, connect one end of a MIDI cable to the Sub 37’s
MIDI IN jack and the other end to an external controller’s MIDI OUT jack. By default, the Sub 37 is set
to transmit and receive MIDI data on MIDI Channel 1.
So first questions would be
..cabelled the right way?
..sending your notes on channel 1?
Cheers

...maybe also take a look at this
36
MIDI MENU PARAMETERS
IN CHANNEL (MIDI MENU 1.1)
This determines the Sub 37’s MIDI Receive Channel. The choices are 1 - 16 and ALL which puts the
Sub 37 in Omni Mode. The default MIDI In channel is 1.
^ try ALL first
IN PORTS (MIDI MENU 2.1)
This determines which MIDI ports receive MIDI data sent from other devices. The choices are OFF,
DIN, USB, or BOTH (default)
^check if OFF or USB only
