Roland SH 2000

Post by boert » Thu Jul 14, 2022 6:40 pm

Hi,

my SH200 stopped to make any sound. O course i want to cure him :)
No Preset No Random no noise .. just nothing

Volume Switch L M H cleaned. Checked Signal with an oscilloscope - nothing.

As i read in several threads i tried to search the problem. But i am a bit confused now.

What i did so far:

Power supply

+15V =14,66
-15V = 14,5

VCO

PIN 1 = Pulse Frequency change to Key
PIN 4 = -14,49
PIN 6 = 14,13

555 PIN 8 = 14,66
555 PIN 3 = Pulse

VCF
PIN 1 = White Noise
PIN 6 = tuned Wavform 0.05Vpp
PIN 8 = Nothing
Pin 10 = Changes by Keypress. On / Off

VG7

9-19 = different waveforms
OUT = Square

Thank you for help and tipps :)

You have a scope, is nothing going on in the oscillator section innards?Apologies, I'm on my first cup of morning tea and my comprehension skills are dogshht so far. You have signal, can you follow it to a disconnect point?

I do not have an Sh 2000, but I do have an SH 1000 in the to-fix pile. Offhand I am not aware of similarities or differences between the two, with regards to under the hood.
