I just finished a complete recap (except the power supply; waiting on parts) of a Juno-60 along with a full teardown of all buttons, sliders, and dissected all the sliders to fully clean / re-lubricate because every single one of them was super stiff. I did test the sections before putting it back together but I think this went unnoticed because I was simply testing for functionality.
Fired it back up and now have this warble going on in the filter which is basically present on all sounds, audible through chorus, no chorus, H/M/L volume, tuning etc.. I've run all the newly-lubricated sliders back and forth a zillion times and unless I created a problem in one of the sliders by cleaning it out, I can't see why that would cause what I'm hearing unless the track was damaged, but I verified every slider on my meter before even crimping them back up so I know every one of them is functional.
I have not cleaned the keybed contacts yet; I was saving that for last once everything else was good. I also made sure this issue is present through phones as well as the standard output. I could swear I was hearing the issue stabilize when I tapped hard on the underside of the panel boards which to me would indicate poor solder joints, but I did this a few more times and couldn't replicate it.
And just before anyone asks me why I would recap the synth, it's because every single cap I pulled was either leaking crud, testing way out of spec, dead shorted, or very high ESR. So it made more sense to do it while the boards were free.
Any ideas before I go into the test modes? Power supply voltages are dead on.
