Recognise this? [solved]

Post by Kit » Wed Sep 27, 2017 4:19 pm

Hello all and thank you for having me on board. What a fab website! I have an Alesis Fusion 6HD and a Polymoog Keyboard in my armoury. Both get little air time these days (one is a back up for the other) but every now and then I get some inspiration to play them. Anyhow, the reason for the post is I'm hoping one of you can help me identify a late 70's analog synth, played by Chris Payne (from Gary Numan's backing band) when the band performed on a German TV show in 1979. I've attached some stills lifted from a You Tube video of the show - any help much appreciated. All the best! Kit.

That's a PPG 1002 or 1020.
1002 has analogue oscillators, the 1020 digital oscillators.

Oh my god - you are soooo right. Its a later generation 1020!

In my long search, I had discounted anything PPG, falsely believing they were an 80's only synth. What a fool I was!

Thank you so much 'Explorer' for picking up on the post. I am in your debt my friend
