Afternoon Folks

I've recently received a Synth from a Grandparent who was clearing out his attic. Nobody in the house plays and I was looking to clean it up and most likely post it on ebay, the only issue is I have absolutely zero experience at all in this area.

It is a Roland Juno-106 and is in almost unplayed condition other than needing a good dusting from years in the loft. We've switched it on and everything sounds great far as I can tell.

Any hints as to what general asking price I should be looking for would be massively appreciated

Roland Juno-106 synths are pretty sought after, and that one looks almost mint, so I wouldn't sell it to the first offer that comes -- wait to see what you can get. Assuming the electronics are still good, I'd confidently place it around $1200, but you might be able to get a few hundred more from the right person.

Maybe some Juno experts on here could give you a better estimate, but that should be a pretty good ballpark.

If you're shipping it to sell it, take care to pack it properly. Synths are really easy to beat up / destroy without excellent packing.

Oh, and don't be tempted to use any solvents like acetone or rubbing alcohol on it to give it "one final clean". Just use a slightly damp cloth and leave it at that.

Great tip about the solvents, I wouldn't even have thought about that so i'll be sure to stick to a cloth and water.
