Novice moog prodigy repair question

Post by Einnichts » Thu Apr 04, 2019 6:38 pm

Greetings, I've have a moog prodigy I've been working on for a period of time and I finally solved my problem I'm just not understanding why it worked. Oscillator 1 was not functioning correctly and I isolated the issue as coming from IC U7 on the schematic, while I was probing around with the multimeter, when I tied pin one and two together the unit came to life and I'm not entirely sure why, basically my question is, why would this work in solving an extremely low oscillator volume, additionally is this a safe fix? Thank you and I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge

Interesting. There are two versions: one with a diode and one without. Which one is yours?
