Hi,
I replaced all sliders on the panel board except the HPF slider on my Roland Juno 106.
I have the impression that everything works well, but I wonder if I am supposed to do any slider calibration due to the different tolerances? I know that the sliders are not working analog, but are digitized by an ADC. However, I guess the start- and end resistance of a new slider may differ from the replaced one due to tolerances. I was surprised that there is nothing about that mentioned in the service manual. Does the Juno 106 kind of automatically adjust to the new sliders? Could you please enlighten me?
Thanks for your effort in advance.
Thanks,
dds

Re: Roland Juno 106 panel slider replacement
Google "how does a voltage divider work" and you'll see why it doesn't matter if the pots aren't exactly the same values, or if they are replaced with different ones.

Well, I was under the impression that there are other analog synths that need a slider calibration, but I was obviously wrong.
