Korg MS-50 voltmeter lamp

Post by liveinabin » Sat May 15, 2021 3:40 pm

I'm busy renovating a much unloved Korg MS-50. Part of it's charm is that big voltmeter in the top right.
However, the light needs replacing in it. I've no idea what to replace it with. The schematics don't seem to give any clue and there's nothing written inside.
Here's a pic (the removed lamp is to the right of the vu window).

Anyone have any idea what I should get or how I could measure what the vu meter needs? Thanks.

Put a voltmeter across the terminals of the existing lamp, then get a bulb of about the same size that's spec'ed for at least that much voltage.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Simple as that? Brilliant. Thanks :)

Measured 14.92. That’ll be 15 volts then I guess.
