Any advice on diagnosing this? It looks like the delay is all on its own board, and it looks like everything is routed through that board, so if I unplug it completely I just get no sound at all. One thing I noticed is that changing the delay level (parameter 76) produces a small clicking sound as the value changes. None of the other delay parameters have any effect. The unit works perfectly otherwise, so I'm guessing it's some chip on the delay board that's bad, but I don't really know.
Re: Korg EX-8000 digital delay not working
Replaced delay board and problem solved. I was a little lucky but it seemed a fair bet and they're relatively cheap (about $60). In case anyone needs this info, the delay board is indeed the same one as in the DW-8000 (probably obvious, but I figured I'd state it as a fact). There are some different versions but they probably all work (the one in my unit was a 775D and I got a 775C from Syntaur and it worked just fine).
