good online synth tech resource?

Post by Mark Grandson » Wed Oct 25, 2006 6:00 pm

looking for a good online tech resource. i dont want to do anything too major. mainly replacing and re-alining my keyboard bushings and fixing some of the sliders on my arp axxe.

the sliders will be the tricky one, i might get a pro to do it... can you just replace the plastic part that breaks or do you need to replace the whole slider?

any links are appreciated!

thanks -

Usually techs don't write tutorials: what would be the point to give away their art & secrets and ultimately lose money by giving the mean to do-it-yourself? Hence the rarity of good tutorials about all the possible troubles with synths. Otherwise, the Net would have become a great encyclopedia that Bill Gates dreamt of.

Don't pay attention: I'm tired

it's good to spread the word because it will keep more old gear working.

i'm in vancouver, i have a tech i've used before, all i want to do is some stuff i think i can do myself this time.

Actually a friend of mine has a tutorial site on the keyboard bushings - http://bushings.highspies.com/

I don't think techs would be too upset if regular users could install new bushings themselves... It doesn't really challenge me as a tech and I would rather spend my time troubleshooting real problems...
