Right so... I have no midi interface for my computer, but the keyboard I use is a M-Audio Keystation 88es which has that built in USB interface....
My silly question, which I should probably already know the answer to, is if I connect my MIDI out to the MIDI in of my outboard modules (like the Akai SG01v or Yamaha TG-33 or my Novation Nova), can I use a computer program to sequence them (like Ableton Live or whatever) - and if so, how do I go about connecting them?
Silly question about M-Audio USB Keyboards and MIDI

They answer is yes.
As far as how to?
well live has a nice set of tutorials(under View>lessons), and though I've only been using it for a short while
I have to say that Live is the easiest midi sequencer I've ever come across!
You can do loops or full scale midi sequencing.
Good luck
Cheers
