Emu Vintage Pro Leslie Effects?

Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and am really a pianist but I play some keys in a rock band ocassionally and use a Emu Vintage Pro for some of the songs. I've never got into editing sounds, or delving into the module much at all, as i'm not the best with technical stuff, I just use the presets.
However is there anybody that could answer a question?
I use an Alesis QS7 as my controller with the Vintage Pro mainly for B3 sounds, but the mod wheel on my QS7 AND the sustain pedal on the Alesis activates the leslie effect which is annoying as I like to play organ with the sustain pedal without the leslie coming on.
I would like to use the Mod wheel on the Alesis only, to activate the leslie effect on all the organ patches.
Could anyone tell me in VERY VERY basic step by step instructions on how I can do this with the Vintage Pro?
I'd very much appreciate it! :D
Thank you
Rex

Hello. I have the Emu Vintage Pro also.

1. Select the patch you want to change.
2. Press edit button.
3. Turn the selector wheel clockwise until you reach "PRESET PATCHCORDS".
4. Press the > button once.

There are a total of 12 Preset Patchcords.

5. Press the > button again so the # patchcord is displayed.
6. Go thru each Preset Patchcord within this patch and turn off anything that resembles "Foot1FF".

See if this works.

Thankyou so much!

That worked perfectly.

I really do appreciate it!

I see how these forums can help people out.

I don't want to overdo it, but you wouldn't know how I could get a better Patch for JUMP by Van Halen would you ChasIII?
The preset 29 syn:OB-XA is pretty close but the sound changes especially in the solo.
I've been using syn:Wide OB, it's pretty close too, but needs a bit of the saw sound added I think and some sustain.
Any experience with that patch?
Any chance you, or someone you know might be able to walk me through getting a better sound for that song?

I might try a post on that subject too..

Thanks again and Aloha!

I would detune the 1 and 2 layers slightly more. Perhaps a +12 fine tune up.

I would also take 1 and 2 layers and move the "Sound Start" of the wave up to 36. This starts the waveform later in the sample.

Does this make sense?

Maybe I could work on a patch and send it to you maybe.

Hi Again...

I think you are referring to the OB-XA preset for those changes?

It is sounding much better, but still some squishyness in the solo.

I'll keep working on it, probably just some more tweaking.

THANKS!!
