ADAT INTERFACE WANTED

Post by gekichan » Sat Aug 25, 2007 2:43 pm

Hi There,

I'm trying to figure out a new sound system. Taking that, in a Adat cable pass through 8 mono audio signals , for granted; correct myself if I'm wrong.
I need an interface with as much Adat In\Out is possible, I don't mind for conversion, pre amp, analog in\out....

I ONLY NEED MANY MANY MANY ADAT CHANNELS. :!: :!:

Can you suggest me something?

Cheers.

whats your current set up?

I can give some different options than dropping 400-900....

The point is to be able to record as much digital audio signal as i can into a dedicated DAW at the same time. For this purpose should I need of 3 or 4 ADAT I/O in an interface. Do you have any other good solution appart from the RME or the MOTU?

Thanks.

If you need lots of line level inputs then a motu 24 I/O is a better choice and value. You still have not told us what the source devices are either

Yes u right,

2 PC. I want to connect 2 Computer and record their audio signals output, and all the sound that comes from them live played.
I hope that 3 Adat ports plus one spdif are enough.
Do you know if it is possible to add other motu 2408 in the same system only when they have the pci interface, or also the FW one?
I don't remember, and I'm out from home, if the old Powermac G5 (about two years ago) had Pci slots or some kind of this stuff.

So you suggest me the Motu instead of the RME?

Thanks.
