Has anyone cleaned key contacts on a VIRUS keyboard?*Solved*

Post by Music*aL » Fri Aug 31, 2007 11:12 pm

I have a single key on my KB that's not properly responding. It's intermittent, and sometimes doesn't respond at all. It's most noticeable when the filter is set to the key velocity. It just doesn't reach that next velocity level unless struck pretty hard. I have opened the KB and feel comfortable with that. But haven't dug into the contacts or any of the other components. I feel fairly confident in my skills as far as getting the board opened and working with the contacts and being able to put it back together.

I also did a lot of research on this board and the internet in general, and have found a lot of great help. But, none of it related to the Virus in particular.

So, I know this is a narrow question, but, if you have any experience with this issue, especially with a Virus keyboard, please let me know what if anything I should be watching out for...

TIA,

aL
